Welcome to the Clothes Doctor website (the "Site"). Please read these terms carefully. Your use of the Site constitutes your agreement to these terms. Clothes Doctor reserves the right to make changes to the Site and to these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make changes, we will post them here. You may wish to check this section from time to time, because by visiting the Site, you agree to accept any such changes.

 

Repairs and Alterations Service Contract

By placing an order for repairs or alterations through Clothes Doctor, you are being connected to a third party seamstress who has been carefully vetted by Clothes Doctor, and works as an independent party, paying a commission to Clothes Doctor for the connection to you, the customer. Your contract is directly with the seamstress, who will quote for the work, communicate with you regarding your items including shipping and any changes to the quoted price, and when she has completed the work will ship the item(s) back to you. Payment is taken through the Clothes Doctor website and Clothes Doctor takes a commission before paying the fee on to the seamstress. 

Clothes Doctor customer service is available to help in case of any issues or concerns. By placing an order for repairs or alterations you are indicating your acceptance to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (Terms). The Terms may be modified from time to time by updating this page. You should visit this page frequently to review the current Terms. It does not affect your statutory rights. These Terms are in accordance with English law and will be construed in accordance with the English courts. Clothes Doctor is the trading name of London Apprentice Ltd, which is a limited company with the registration number 10698301. The registered address is Tregoose, Grampound, Truro, Cornwall, TR24DB.

Pricing and Payment
All prices of items that are to be repaired and altered are inclusive of VAT where relevant and are subject to change. The quoted price is a provisional estimated price, which shall be determined with reference to all relevant factors including, without limitation, the style and condition of the item and other relevant market factors such as materials required and fabrics. Your seamstress reserves the right to review and adjust the quoted price upon receiving the item and in accordance with the complexity of the work. All payments must be completed before work on an item begins. Your seamstress reserves the right to retain items until full payment of the item has been received. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Shipping
It is your responsibility to ship the item to your seamstress in a convenient manner. An agreement between you and your seamstress for the repair or alter of an item on your behalf comes into existence at the moment an item is received, such agreement being governed by these terms to the exclusion of all other terms, conditions and representations, whether written or oral. By sending an item to us you are confirming: You are the rightful owner of the item in question and you have full authority to repair or alter the item without anyone else's permission (or that you have obtained any necessary permissions). Please note that by requesting the withdrawal of an item from Clothes Doctor, the customer may be liable for any shipping fees that may have been assumed.

Limitation to Liability
In the unlikely event that an item becomes damaged under the care of your seamstress, the liability of the item shall not exceed £400, regardless of brand or condition unless previously agreed in writing between all parties. If you are unhappy with any part of the completed repair or alterations service you have 24 hours to contact your seamstress. We will investigate any complaint promptly and pay fair compensation for damage or loss due to our negligence. Your seamstress exercises the utmost care in processing items received to avoid misplacement or loss. In the unlikely instance of an item being misplaced or lost, we ask that you advise us of any discrepancy within 24 hours of the return of your item (s) so that we may investigate the matter and make a determination. Once an item has been delivered to your doorman/concierge/authorised person please note that neither Clothes Doctor nor your seamstress can assume any responsibility for any items that may be lost or damaged while in their care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable to you under these Terms for any loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, wasted expenditure, goodwill, reputation or revenue or for any indirect consequential or economic loss or damage whatsoever arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the performance of the Agreement or any breach of the Terms or Agreement by us.

 

Privacy
We recognise and respect the importance of protecting the privacy of visitors to our website. This privacy policy explains all of the information we collect about you through our website, how we use that information and the procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy. We fully comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulations 2018. We reserve the right to amend or modify this privacy policy at any time and in response to changes in applicable law. If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages of our website, so that you are aware of any amendments. Providing us with up-to-date information allows us to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, to monitor and improve the provision of the services through the website and to send you notices about our service or any changes to it.

 

Washing Instructions

All of the washing tips, and clothing care advice found on the Clothes Doctor website are tried and tested by the Clothes Doctor team, and are only recommended in conjunction with the use of our products. Following our tips and advice is done at your own risk.

The entire content (images and text) of Clothes Doctor is copyrighted and may not be reproduced, published, broadcast, posted, modified, transmitted, displayed, distributed, downloaded or otherwise used except as provided herein without the express written permission of Clothes Doctor.

Non-Commercial Use

This website, its contents and sales of merchandise through the use of this website are intended solely for the personal, non-commercial use of our clients. You may download or copy the content displayed on the Site for your personal use only. No right, title or interest in any downloaded materials or software is transferred to you as a result of any such downloading or copying. Merchandise is not offered for resale.

 

User Comments

Any comments, suggestions, ideas, materials and other submissions ("User Comments") that you send to Clothes Doctor are provided on a non-confidential basis. By submitting User Comments, you are granting Clothes Doctor an irrevocable and unrestricted licence for any purpose whatsoever, including use, reproduction, publication, broadcast, posting, modification, transmission, display, and distribution. However, because we value the trust that you have placed in us, we will not use your personal information in a way that might identify you without your consent. You agree that no User Comments submitted by you to the Site will violate any right of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy or other personal or proprietary rights. You further agree that no User Comments submitted by you to the Site will be or contain libellous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material. You are and shall remain solely responsible for the content of any User Comments you make.

 

Discount Codes

Only one discount code can be used per customer, per order, and cannot be combined with any additional promotions or discounts.

 

Giveaways

Giveaway winner(s) will be contacted directly when the giveaway closes. All entrants must live within the UK and be 18 years or over.

 

Presale

Clothes Doctor reserves the right to pre-sell product on a first come, first served basis before the item is physically available at the warehouse to ship. Payment will be processed at the time your order is placed and, if for any reason we cannot fulfill your order, we will notify you and a refund will be issued. Clothes Doctor will provide an estimated date for which an order containing pre-sale items will ship; however, this date is not guaranteed and the item may ship before or after the provided date. All orders containing pre-sale items will be held until the pre-sale items become available as we do not ship in partial shipments. Once the pre-sale item is received at the warehouse, your order will begin the normal process for shipping. To cancel orders or remove items from your order containing pre-sale products, please notify us at support@clothes-doctor.com

 

Marketing of Items
We reserve the right to market items on social media platforms as demonstrations of our capabilities to existing and potential clients, unless the item is easily identifiable or personalised to the individual, or we have been asked in writing not to; this is in compliance with our privacy policy.

 

Right to Decline
Please be aware that we reserve the right to decline services to any customer in instances of, but not limited to, circumstances of actual or implied physical or verbal abuse towards our company or our employees.
